Fairview Homes are currently developing two new major schemes in booming Ipswich, Suffolk, called Voyage and Modus.

The aquatically named Voyage is located on a former industrial site overlooking the River Gipping with Ranelagh Road to the south. The scheme features a number of blocks ranging from A to G with all but the last one being low-rise and set around landscaped courtyards, three of which will be private with two having some form of public access.

Standing on the commanding position of the site directly overlooking the river is block G, a 12 floor tower with a triangular footprint in similar post modern style of contrasting white and brown that the rest of the development also takes on.

As part of the strategy to link it with the north bank there are plans for a bridge to cross the Gipping between blocks A and G where the main public area will be that should open in the spring of 2008.

The second development called Modus is made up of 377 new residential units including 94 affordable apartments and a number of three bedroom townhouses in blocks from A to H. It's based on a roughly triangular site that has Fore Hamlet running to the north and Duke Street to the south.

Voyage is set to complete in the autumn of 2008 and Modus in the summer of 2009.
